This website began in November, 2011, and was originally known as “Thursday Night Fellowship.”  It was an add-on to the site of Jan Magiera’s Light of the Word ministry site (www.lightofword.org).  Jan is the one who actually set the site up for me originally.  After about a year, the site went on its own, and with the publication of the book, Give Me Christ – Revelations of the Glorified Christ, the decision was made to change its name.

The Thursday Night Fellowships began in 2006 or thereabouts at our home, and grew too large within 3 years or so.  We’d often have upwards of 40 people in our home, most of them college students.  My wife Sharon would always have a home-cooked meal waiting for everyone.  Within days of the fellowship I would put together an outline and notes of what had been covered in the bible that evening.  These notes would include not just what I’d put down on paper before the study, but also what others had contributed during the course of our sometimes rowdy fellowships.  I gathered e-mail addresses and so began sending out the study each week in a more organized fashion, so that people could refresh their minds as to what had been studied.

I had about 50 of these studies on file when the website started, and so was able to quickly populate the website.  I used to put a new study up at least once a week, if not more often.  That has slowed down to a new study every month or so.  At the present time there are over 160 studies available.  For those who’d like to peruse a quick synopsis of the studies, there are 14 (or so) indices, each containing a brief encapsulation of 10 studies.

The subscriber list today stands at about 140.  Every time I post a new study, those on the subscriber list get a notification.  If you haven’t subscribed yet and want to, go to any study page on the website and at the upper right is a place where you can sign up.

The average number of unique visits to the website each day (people, not robots) is between 35 and 40.   I know of fellowships in Nevada and Texas and China which have used, or still do use, studies from Give Me Christ in their home fellowships.  These numbers may seem small, but to me they are huge!  Like I often say, a little Christ goes a long way!  And my joy is to know that others are sharing with me in the revelation of the glorified Christ.

I have a couple of analytics plug-ins on my website.  These let me know how many visits I get to which studies, and the general location of those who access the studies (not exact address).  They also give me other info, most of which I have little interest in. Over the years I have had people from all over the United States access the website.  I don’t believe there’s a state which hasn’t been represented.  There have even been a couple of visits from someone in the White House!  People from all over the world also have visited studies on the site; most regularly England, Australia, Canada, Norway, South Africa, India, the Philippines, and Switzerland (often several each day). Besides that, there have been numerous visits from Ghana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Russia, China, Malaysia, the Caribbean islands, and even a few from Middle Eastern countries which are primarily Muslim (Qatar, Yemen, Iran).

Over the years I’ve become aware of those studies which seem to be accessed more often than others, and I thought it might be enjoyable to put down a list of which they are.  I realize that some of these are viewed more often because they show up higher on the list in search engines.  It is a blessing to see a certain study get accessed from all over the world via search engines, and then to see that same study get shared with others.

I’ll list the top 10, with the most popular listed last.  These aren’t necessarily my own favorites, but rather are the ones most often accessed.

The Spirit of Envy
The Inefficiency of God
Loins Girt with Truth
The Benefits of Tribulation
Emotions of Sin
What is the POWER of God?
Cole’s Question – was the Apostle Paul arrogant?

PS.  If you haven’t yet gotten and read the book, Give Me Christ: Revelations of the Glorified Christ, I encourage you to do so.  I read it regularly, and God still speaks to me every time I read it.  I have heard the same from others.  Just beneath the picture below, there’s a link where the book can be ordered on Amazon.  It costs $12.

About stevehartlaub@gmail.com

I'm a 70 year old spiritual adventurer in life, but I don't really get along with organized religion. I find it too passive, too worldly, too conforming, too powerless ... though I know many wonderful believers involved in it. I have been a seeker of Jesus Christ since 1974 in Ketchikan, Alaska. Very early into my spiritual journey, I came to the realization that I wouldn't be able to last long in this new Godly relationship without becoming able to understand the Bible. God supplied that need, and shortly thereafter I became interested in Biblical research ... Greek, word studies, HOW the Bible is designed to be understood, its customs, etc. I married Sharon in 1985 in Vancouver, Canada. I have 5 children - 3 girls, 2 boys....ages 27-33. All were homeschooled. 3 are happily married. I have six grandchildren. I have taught and studied the Word of God in informal gatherings in England, Scotland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Canada, Alaska, Nevada and all over the United States. In 2006 I became aware of God calling me into the revelation of the glorified Christ within, and I have been involved in making that revelation known since then. I recently moved to Bella Vista, Arkansas, after living in Fitchburg, Wisconsin (suburb of Madison) since 1990.. If you're ever in the area, please look me up. I am a retired house painter, and God is providing for my wife and I abundantly! I am meek to the instruction of God...which often occurs while another person is speaking! So don't be afraid to comment on any of these studies. Because my heart is open to my master teacher, Jesus Christ!
