What are we going to DO forever???

Man was made for two things:  To be loved by God (to be full and complete expressions of His glory!), and to walk in gloriously loving adventure!  Our eternal life will be an exciting fulfillment of these two destinies.

In the first heaven, Lucifer was the angel of light.  In the second, Lucifer has been cast down and now rules the earth by trickery as Satan.  In the third, Satan is destroyed and Jesus Christ and his body will rule all heaven (the spiritual) and all earth (all physical creation).

II Corinthians 12:1-4  It is not expedient for me, doubtless, to boast.  I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord.  I knew a man in Christ more than fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell; God knows); such a one caught up to the third heaven (which is future).  And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell; God knows); How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.

That which Paul saw, which was not allowed him to utter.  That I declare unto you.  For the time is surely at hand, and God desires for His children to live in hope, for the good good things that shall surely come into being in the near future.

The universe is filled with His handiwork

Isaiah 9:7  Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end………

For something to increase without end, it’s going to have to reach out to infinity!

The universe will have to keep growing, without end!

Genesis 15:5  And He (God) brought him (Abram) forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and count the stars, if you be able to number them; and He said unto him, So (or there) shall your seed be.

So shall your seed be!

Genesis 22:16, 17  And said, By myself have I sworn, says the Lord, for because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your only son; That in blessing I will bless you, and in multiplying I will multiply your seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore;….

Your seed will be as the stars of heaven.

Genesis 13:16   And I (God) will make your (Abraham’s) seed as the dust of the earth; so that if a man can number the dust of the earth; then shall your seed also be numbered.

If you can count the dust of the earth, then shall your seed be numbered….

Revelation 21:1a   And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away;……

New heavens and a new earth

II Peter 3:10-13   But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also, and the works that are therein shall be burned up.  Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy behavior and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?  Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwells righteousness.

The increase of his government will have no end……

A statistical analysis based on a survey of millions of stars suggests that there’s at least one planet for every star in the sky, and probably more. That would add up to 160 billion planets or so in the Milky Way ALONE!

We used to think that the Earth might be unique in our galaxy,” says Daniel Kubas, of the Institut d’Astrophysique de Paris; “But now it seems that there are literally billions of planets with masses similar to Earth orbiting stars in the Milky Way.”

While only about a dozen planets have been confirmed in the habitable zone, the Kepler spacecraft has identified a further 54 candidates and current estimates indicate that there are “at least 500 million” such planets in the Milky Way alone!

 The Hubble Space Telescope site estimates there are hundreds of billions of galaxies in the universe. A recent German super-computer simulation estimates that the number may be as high as 500 billion!

250 quintillion possible inhabitable planets in the universe! AT THIS TIME!

IF the Milky Way is an average sized galaxy, then 500,000,000 possible inhabitable planets in the Milky Way X 500,000,000,000 galaxies would = 250,000,000,000,000,000,000 possibly inhabitable planets in the universe…..at this time.  (That’s 250 quintillion).  That’s 40 billion planets for every living soul on the face of the earth at this time!

Now we’re talking the “dust of the earth” that God promised Abraham.  Now we’re talking Godly adventure that will never end.  Now we’re talking an increase of the rule of Jesus Christ that will never end.  Because by the time 25 quintillion planets are discovered and civilized and populated, the size of the universe will have expanded a trillion times over!

Explore.  Discover.  Fish.  Hang out.  Hike.  Picnic.  Invent.  Populate.  Groove to the music.  Make music.  Learn.  Experience.  Dominate.  Subdue.  Instruct.  Partake.  Share.  Give.  Receive.  Recount.  Civilize.  Read.  Write.  Praise and thank.  Understand.   Compose.  Eat.  Drink.  Party.  Entertain.  Make merry.  Travel.  Climb.  Fly.  Run.  Jump.  Jubilate.   Contemplate.  Rejoice always.

The new heaven will contain no satanic influence…only the rule which now abides in the Christ, Jesus our Lord….a rule of loving kindness and supernatural ability.  The new earth means that all creation will be thrown open for our exploration and discovery, and that all the riches of the physical universe will be thrown open to us and make themselves freely available.  Where to date we have had to claw and scratch, those rich technological and physical discoveries will now be thrown into our laps as gifts of the grace of God.

Romans 8:18, 21 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in (eis – unto) us.  Because the creation itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
