My Gospel – Two of the most meaningful verses in the entire Bible.  What is this “my gospel” Paul speaks of, and is it any different than the gospels of Jesus or John the Baptist, or of Peter and the other apostles?

Kicking the Corpse  –  Hating my old self is not a part of God’s curriculum for my new man self.  Why?  Because there’s no benefit in doing so.  It is enough to know and understand our old man’s limitations, weaknesses and shortcomings.

Is God in Control?  –  God is sovereign.  God is all powerful.  God is in control.  What do these terms mean, and are they true?  If so, where can we find them used and defined in Scripture?

How God has Changed – The God of the Old Testament seems quite harsh and demanding compared with the God which Jesus talked about and proclaimed.  That Old Testament God is extremely different than the one preached by Paul.  How and why this discrepancy?  Has God really changed?

Ruled by Responsibility – Many Christians are consumed by their sense of responsibility – toward family, society, denomination/church, work, etc.  What exactly is our responsibility once we become a child of God?

Love vs Religion – This study takes a look at the differences between the religion of Christianity and the walk of love which Jesus Christ called (and calls) us to each and every day.

Work vs Results – There are many things we are called to do once we believe unto Jesus Christ and become filled with the life and love of God.  Get Godly results is not one of them.  Not so easy to grasp for the western mind which has been taught from birth to take responsibility for the results we want. Learn the difference between work and results and life gets so much simpler and  more powerful.

Loins Girt with Truth  – The foundational piece of armor, the first which needs to be put on.  What it is and how to do it.  The benefits which occur.

Protectors of God – God can take care of Himself.  Really?  If that’s true, then why do we as Christians take offense on behalf of God when others sin?  God does not need or want us to wear ourselves out of fellowship with Him, trying to protect His good name.

The Benefits of Tribulation – Though the word “tribulation” carries with it a sense of evil and dread, of something to be avoided, it shouldn’t.  Rather, tribulation is something we should actually look forward to, like a challenging workout at the gym.

About stevehartlaub@gmail.com

I'm a 70 year old spiritual adventurer in life, but I don't really get along with organized religion. I find it too passive, too worldly, too conforming, too powerless ... though I know many wonderful believers involved in it. I have been a seeker of Jesus Christ since 1974 in Ketchikan, Alaska. Very early into my spiritual journey, I came to the realization that I wouldn't be able to last long in this new Godly relationship without becoming able to understand the Bible. God supplied that need, and shortly thereafter I became interested in Biblical research ... Greek, word studies, HOW the Bible is designed to be understood, its customs, etc. I married Sharon in 1985 in Vancouver, Canada. I have 5 children - 3 girls, 2 boys....ages 27-33. All were homeschooled. 3 are happily married. I have six grandchildren. I have taught and studied the Word of God in informal gatherings in England, Scotland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Canada, Alaska, Nevada and all over the United States. In 2006 I became aware of God calling me into the revelation of the glorified Christ within, and I have been involved in making that revelation known since then. I recently moved to Bella Vista, Arkansas, after living in Fitchburg, Wisconsin (suburb of Madison) since 1990.. If you're ever in the area, please look me up. I am a retired house painter, and God is providing for my wife and I abundantly! I am meek to the instruction of God...which often occurs while another person is speaking! So don't be afraid to comment on any of these studies. Because my heart is open to my master teacher, Jesus Christ!
